In my professional life, I spend the bulk of my day negotiating contracts with executives from Fortune 200 organizations - sometimes heady, always stressful activity that rarely provides a realistic view of the world. My work with Lawrence Hall definitely helps me maintain a healthy perspective on what really matters in life and provides me an opportunity to hopefully 'give back' some of the many blessings I've received. Over the last four years I've had the privilege to work with a number of kids, as well as LHYS staff, and I always walk away from the weekly activities feeling that I am the one getting tremendous value out of the volunteering relationship. I am grateful for the opportunity to participate in such a wonderful program and to witness the kids' progress (and in some cases transformation!) as a result of the unfailing efforts of such a nurturing and dedicated staff!"
