Privacy PolicyPurpose:Lawrence Hall Youth Services (LHYS) respects the privacy of visitors to its website. LHYS strongly believes that website users must be assured that information provided online is used responsibly and appropriately. To protect online privacy, LHYS has implemented the following policy. Policy:INFORMATION COLLECTION AND USE LHYS does not collect any personal information from users browsing its web site. When visitors use the public areas of LHYS’ website they are doing so anonymously. LHYS collects aggregate use information such as the number of visits per page. Aggregate data is used for internal and marketing purposes, but LHYS does not collect any personally identifying information. When individuals visit LHYS’ website and order a product, make a donation, or request information, they will be asked to provide certain identifying information. Similar information may be submitted to LHYS on a direct mail donation form, special events registration form, or other form that may be required to make a purchase. LHYS utilizes secure transaction methods when collecting credit card information over the Internet. LHYS does not disclose credit card information provided by its donors. It is the policy of LHYS to collect and store only personal information that our visitors knowingly provide. This information is used for billing purposes and to fill orders. Should LHYS experience difficulty processing an order or request for information, they will use this information to contact the visitor(s). LHYS does not sell its donor or volunteer lists. Individuals who visit LHYS’ website or become a supporter of LHYS, their name and mailing information will not be sold to any other entity. LHYS will use the name and email address of individuals who wish to subscribe to the LHYS newsletter(s), to send them the newsletter. This information includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp, and clickstream data. LHYS uses this information, which does not identify individual users, to analyze trends, to administer the site, to track users’ movements around the site and to gather demographic information about our user base as a whole. LHYS does not link this automatically-collected data to personally identifiable information. COOKIES A cookie is a small text file that is stored on a user’s computer for record-keeping purposes. LHYS does use cookies on this site but they do not link the information that they store in cookies to any personally identifiable information that individuals might submit whilevisiting LHYS’ site.
